Valeria, CAL State Fullerton, Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, minor in Adolescent Studies

This May (2025), I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Adolescent Studies, a milestone I couldn't have achieved without the invaluable support of the Tyrone Lampley Dream Scholarship and EPAAF over the past four years! The support was instrumental in helping me navigate the challenges of my undergraduate journey more effectively. There were moments when I doubted my ability to persevere, but EPAAF consistently provided the necessary support to help me push through those difficult times.

Through EPAAF, I had the opportunity to pay that support forward and serve as a Peer Leader for two years - supporting my fellow EPAAF underclassmen within the CSU system and at Cal State Fullerton. 

As a first-generation student, the path to higher education seemed daunting, but I'm thrilled to share that I am continuing my academic journey as I have been accepted to San Jose State University to pursue a Master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance.
