Celebrating 25 Years of Learning!

For 25 years, East Palo Alto Academy has created an academic experience designed around a simple belief: every student deserves to be challenged, supported, and prepared to pursue the future they choose.

At the heart of EPAA’s academic program is a commitment to knowing students well: both their dreams and aspirations, as well as what they might individually need to get there. A small-school  environment and EPAA’s Advisory program provide students with consistent care and guidance throughout high school, while rigorous coursework helps them build the skills and confidence they need for life after graduation.

Over the years, EPAA has continued to expand what academic opportunity looks like. All students have the opportunity to take the A-G requirements needed to attend 4-year universities, students can earn college credit while still in high school through dual enrollment and they have the chance to develop creativity and real-world problem-solving skills in the Dream Lab. 

The results can be seen in our graduates. In the Class of 2026, 65% of seniors completed college coursework through dual enrollment before graduating, and 97% pursued a postsecondary pathway—whether at a four-year university, community college, or through vocational training.

As we celebrate EPAA’s 25th anniversary, we celebrate not only how far the school has come, but its continued willingness to evolve to meet the aspirations of each new generation of Bulldogs.
