Welcome to the EPAAF Board, Ingrid and Silvia!

Ingrid is a human capital executive with deep life sciences expertise and a proven ability to influence and lead strategy, growth, culture, and operational effectiveness in both emerging and established companies. Known as an effective agent of change, she has built and led contemporary, results-focused HR functions for teams across the US, Europe, and Asia. Ingrid is adept at guiding companies through critical inflection points, including startup phases, IPOs, and periods of aggressive growth. She has held multiple leadership roles at Genentech, served as Vice President and Global Head of Human Resources at Roche, and was Chief Human Resources Officer at both MyoKardia and Gyroscope Therapeutics.

A lifelong learner, Ingrid earned a Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California. She also holds an MBA from Notre Dame de Namur University and a BS in Organizational Behavior from the University of San Francisco. Ingrid has been active in business and industry groups and served on the Board of Directors of the California Strategic Human Resource Partnership and the Young Men’s Service League.

Silvia Lopez is a community-centered banking leader with deep roots in Redwood City and East Palo Alto and a lifelong commitment to equity and opportunity. A Menlo-Atherton High School graduate (Class of 2004), she has spent nearly two decades in banking, including over 12 years with U.S. Bank, where she currently serves as Branch Manager of the Palo Alto South location after leading teams across the Peninsula and East Bay.

Silvia has championed Bay Area–wide employee giving and volunteer initiatives, increasing engagement and strengthening community partnerships year over year. She has also served on the Board of Directors for Ballet Folklórico México Vivo, preserving and uplifting Mexican culture through dance. Having grown up in East Palo Alto, Silvia is especially passionate about unlocking the untapped potential of minority youth and families and has worked closely with students and families at East Palo Alto Academy to advance educational equity, access, and long-term community empowerment.
